A very nice close-in shot in sweet light, Debapratim. Based on the water drops below the duck, it appears it lifted off and flew directly towards you. Very nice image.

If the wings are clipped, I would go in tighter if you have the pixels....

Dan, I respect your opinion. Could you explain your thinking behind a tighter crop, and exactly how far you would recommend cropping in? I have a couple of images of another species just like this. My thought is if i crop in towards the body, the wings are still clipped. But obviously, the crop would show more of the body detail. Just curious about the benefits – compositionally or otherwise – of cropping in closer to the body when the wings are originally clipped.
