I shot it this morning from a fully stretched flattened out of legs tripod , using live view.

She is so sweet! Love the raised wings and bright oranges. Lovely against the dark background. Sounds like you were lying on the ground! (Or close to it). Worth the trouble, I'd say. :) A real beauty.

Thanks, Cindy. I was comfortably sitting on a foldable three-legged chair and looking down on the folded out LCD screen.
I was using live view.
Last time I was laying on the ground for about three hours was five years ago.
It gave me a minor stroke and a lasting neck and head ache that I still have.
No, thanks.
