Barred Owl

D850, 300 f/4, 1/200, f/4, ISO 1600
This owl (or perhaps another also) have been hanging around our house lately, sitting on the bird feeders , y-owl-ing (not the usual call, but mating behavior, I believe). This one was very close had to run for a shorter lens, and added a bit of "real estate " at the bottom from a similar photo, as was a very tight crop. I think it was hunting chipmunks- we have many. Blue Jays are not happy!

Nice capture Cindy! Beautiful BG colors and also you can even see the pupils in the owl's eyes.

Cindy, a great shot with a lovely painterly appearance. Great framing with the branches, and good detail in the plumage. Excellent.
