Shot this morning. It was a beautiful day. Clear sky, frost on the ground, cold crisp air. I was checking for Short-eared Owls..it is still little early, but I found few Northern Harriers.

Great find and an excellent shot of a raptor I haven't seen for years.

Always love seeing a harrier in the field-they fly low so often. Perfect environment- lovely shot.

Great capture for handheld with a manual focus lens! That’s what I use and I know how hard it is to capture a BIF with it in focus, even when using a tripod. She stands out nicely against the BG.

Beautiful shot of this bird of prey. The most interesting part I felt is that he constantly kept his eye on the photographer. Lovely eye contact.

Regards.

I second Joe's thoughts, excellent work with the manual focus lens, Ludo. This is a handsome shot, and the inclusion of habitat is wonderful.

Great wing angle, light, and background. Pretty hatch-year bird.
