Male House Finch

It's always been my contention that good bird photographs are not in the least related to the rarity of the bird. I would much rather have a great pic of a Chickadee than a picture poor image of ... say eg. a Kirtlands Warbler. Not that I complain when I do get a decent shot of that rarity - My 10cents worth :)

This is a shot of a quite common House Finch (male) that I photographed this morning in a public park near where I live.

Photographed on a dull morning (this morning) in Cambridge, Ontario using a Canon 5D4 coupled with an Canon EF500 Mk2 and a Canon 1.4TC Mk3

Exposure was set to manual, but on Auto ISO
ISO250 + f5.6 + 1/250

Some people in some places might never have seen this bird! But I agree- "common" birds are as beautiful as any, as you have shown so well here. Sometimes we forget their beauty, so thank you.
