Image
A male Indigo Bunting that I found in a wood lot in SW Ontario.

Image was captured using a Canon 5D Mk4 combined with a Canon EF500 Mk2 and a 1.4TC Mk3. I used a Tripod, but no flash

Camera settings were ...
Manual with Auto ISO
ISO800 at f5.6 & 1/320sec
A fairly significant crop and some post processing using LR & PS.
Dull day (my preferred weather for bird photography)

Such a wonderful colour on this little beauty, and he pops so well from the background and mossy perch. Yes, a dull day with its soft light does have its advantages.

So very beautiful!! Love the rich colors and of course the bird- nice pose and ...well, I'm a bit green with envy! So hard to find here in full, glorious plumage.
