Shot two months ago testing out old Nikon D1h. Impressive camera even today if someone can accept it's limitations.
D1h, 500mm f/4 P ED IF (MF)
1/250, ISO-800, f/5.6, handheld

What a fine close-in portrait, Ludo. Impeccable detail, and I love the tan plumage contrasted against the dark background. Well done.

Great detail, it is amazing how well those older cameras performed in good hands, Ludo.

I agree!  its not just the camera - its the skill of the person using it!  :)

Thank you all for the kind comments. I really think that D1h is way underrated even in 2019.
