This relatively small bird had swallowed this fairly big size fish without any struggle.

Wow, that is quite a catch, Karl. Amazing that the grebe swallowed it without any trouble. Great find.

Nice catch Karl! Few months ago I chased one of these on the water in my canoe and it always dived and popped out far away from my position. They can swim long distance under water.
