Such a beautiful bird. The photo is so eye-catching because the color of the breast and feathers really contrasts with the green background.

Hi Sandy. This bird is a rose breasted cockatoo, commonly known as a Galah. They are common across Australia and are taken as pets. The Major Mitchell Cockatoo is a much harder bird to find and is mostly found in the dryer parts of Australia.
