Taken on my recent Brazil Tour to the Pantanal.
A plug for Canon (not affiliated) , the 400 2.8 IS v3 is a monster, worth every penny.

Superb shot...I love this. 400mm f/2.8 is awesome. I used to shoot with Canon 300mm f/2.8 amazing lens. I am saving now for Nikon 400mm f/2.8 :-)

Crazy, wonderful shot, Kiran!!  You always have a great 'eye' for the unusual, and I love it. :D   Always good to see you and your images, and I hope life is treating you well!

Hi Gene,
Thanks ! The camera settings were pretty much standard, however I underexposed the scene by 3 stops as the bird stepped out of a dark canopy into the light. f/2.8 took care of the background elements.

Av mode, ISO 200, exp comp minus 3, 1 shot AF( focus/recompose), f/2.8 @400mm

Thanks,
Kiran
