Great Green Macaw

This is actually a natural Hybrid and they have a little more color than the Great Green. One of the highlights of my trip to Costa Rica was getting these wild macaws in flight. Taken in Costa Rica on a trip with NSN members Greg Basco and Doug Brown.

A gorgeous hybrid with wonderful vibrant color, David. The detail in large view really stands out well. Beautiful image!

To call it 'green' seems almost an insult, David - at the very least it should be 'rainbow' with those amazing colours!  :D 

What a stunning bird, and stunning image, the uncompressed view is gorgeous.  A superb capture to your usual high standards.  Love it!
