Recent shot of juvenile Osprey. Momma died from injuries on her chest..more likely from attack/fight. This osprey is alone sitting on the nest and daddy brings food few times a day. Here was practice flight and landing.

D3s. 500mm f/4 P ED IF (MF) + TC-301 (2.0X TC)
1/2500. ISO-8000, f/16

A sad story, as ospreys usually mate for life. Nice to hear that dad is doing a good job on his own with this youngster, and this is a lovely view of the landing action, Ludo!

Sad story and an excellent landing picture, Ludo. They are good parents, both male and female.

You nailed this landing pose, Ludo. The wing spread and extended talons are excellent, and the high key background works well. Very nicely done.
