This was formerly name Magnificent Hummingbird when it was split off one found in Costa Rica. One of the largest hummers in US almost twice the size of Ruby-throated Hummer. We are about to do the Hummingbird Celebration in Fort Davis (PS it is sold out) As of my last check we have had 12 species of Hummers in Davis Mtn's
This is my first post in a while but been really busy and mostly just taking snap shots this year around FD. But this is one of birds coming to my secret place so I am trying to get him to work into a set but even though they are biggest hummer they are much harder to work with at least here on basically their breeding territory Shot with D850, new 500mm f5.6 PF at 1/1000 sec f/6.3 Iso800 He will hopefully hang in for a while and just maybe I can get him to come where I want him Michael L.
