Taken in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula
One day in late May a very small flooded forest in a local town had 12 species of warblers feeding only 1-3 feet off the water, hopping branch to branch, while feeding on an insect hatch. The forest was next to a parking lot for a library, which had many people coming and going, many who stopped to view the migrant flock. I focused on 2 adult male Blackpoll Warblers, but many of the 50+ birds were very easily photographed from one spot, just by waiting for them to make their way to the forest edge.
