As a thumb rule I always try to get a plain background or a background with uniform texture. In this case however, I love the feel all the elements bring into the image. (Quite an unpopular opinion among my peers). Let me know what you think.

I make all the photos using canon powershot SX50 HS.
Hope you like it. Cheers!

Prathmesh, My opinion--if the background compliments the image, then it's a good background. In this image, the background absolutely compliments (adds to) the image. My only recommendation is that on my monitor (which doesn't mean that I'm right) it looks just a tad dark.

Excellent lighting and inclusion of habitat. The reflection adds a lot to the image, but I wish the head in the reflection did not merge with the bottom border.

Good decision on capturing and including details of the environment.

Both types of photography have their place. A nice portrait with plain background can look beautiful - but so can a view of your subject in its natural habitat. I like this image with the inclusion of the habitat very much, Prathmesh - if only the reflection of the head wasn't slightly cut off on the bottom edge.
