Taken in Iceland June 2019.
We had a lot of dark cloudy days so we were always fighting for light. Always at ISO 1600 to 2500. ugh...Neat Image for noise reduction is my new best friend.
ISO 1600 F 5.6 SS 1/2500 Handheld

Wow, wow, beautiful in all the aspects. I like the bird in flight and the BG.

You did beautifully with the exposure- so sharp and beautifully placed in the frame. Your work is always so artistically presented. Only thing I could wish for is a bit more gleam in the eye. I sure get it about noise and low light- that's the norm around here, generally. Don't see any noise in this one-excellent! And..hand-held 600 lens!

Thanks Cynthia and great idea. Here is a repost with the existing light dodged at 35%. I probably could have dodged more.

About the perfect flight angle to show off the topside... nice tail fan.
BG really attractive.
Looks noise free at this size, I almost never get to shoot under 2000 so I don't
think that this is that dark a light to shoot in.... Low soft light and nice processing is about my favorite.
Topaz works well, have not tried neat image.

Gail, Nice bird and detail, but for me the BG makes the shot.

Great flight shot.....light is a lacking commodity at times but it looks like you did well. I always dodge the "whatever light in the eye" is present in such images....just seem to bring them more to light. Handheld.......priceless.

Very well executed hand held with a 600 - not easy at all. And a beautiful result.
