Hi Mike:
Just back from Bear River in Brigham City, Utah where I saw a couple thousand Black-necked Stilts nesting and foraging along the river. I had never seen so many before - quite a spectacle.

Hey Jake, with our late winter in the West, all the saline lakes (flies & brine shrimp) are really hopping. Lake Abert in SE Oregon (our largest saline lake) has hundreds of thousands of Avocets, Stilts, and Phalaropes.

Nice pose with the raised foot and open bill, Mike. A nice reflection as well.
