Hi,

I usually get birds of preys shots just by accident and this was no different!
I was set up for parrots, when I saw a bird fly super low through the grasses directly towards me.
To my surprise, he landed right on my perch and posed for two shots!
Before I even really realised what happened, he was already gone again. Luckily I was quick enough to fire off a few frames.

Luck favors the prepared. Love the colors, almost monochromatic feel to it. Nice capture...

Jan, Like how the background compliments the Goshawk. The small grasses around the perch adds to the image.

Great-looking Goshawk species and the BG colors go really well with the plumage.

the bg works well with this fellow and I'm glad that the twigs from the bush were there to give the image a better look, perfectly timed JAN.

Holy Crap!! This is one of the best images I have ever seen from you!! Not because I love raptors, it's because I know what it takes to get a shot like this.
Try to reproduce this again!! No way!! Yes It was an accident, but you were prepared and had enough sence to bang out a couple frames before he bolted.
Not only did you get a great shot of this species, you got what appears to be a gorgeous adult male.
I told you print that Major Mitchel's but I might print this one first!!
COME JOIN ME FOR A CUSTOM PERSONALIZED RAPTOR WORKSHOP   NOV-MAR 2019/2020.    PLEASE PM ME TO ENQUIRE ABOUT PRICING AND AVAILABILITY!

Thank mate. I agree, I don’t think I could take this image again. It was one of those special moments
