This is one among the colourful finches found in the upper altitudes of the Himalayas. This one is a male. The female is much dull brownish in colour.

A lovely little bird and captured very nicely, Biru. My only nit is that with the bird being small in the frame, the bright spots - buds? in the background compete with the finch for attention.
