This is a little ringed plover.
The little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius) is a small plover.
Adults have a grey-brown back and wings, a white belly and a white breast with one black neckband. They have a brown cap, a white forehead, a black mask around the eyes with white above and a short dark bill. The legs are flesh-colored and the toes are all webbed.
In breeding plumage they get a beautiful pattern on their face. I will upload that image in the coming posts.
I made this in my city Pune. I had gone specially to get this bird as it was a lifer for me then. Let me know your views about the image. :)

It is a lovely plover in nice light and with good detail, Prathmesh. A minor suggestion would be to leave more room in the frame for the plover, particularly the tail. Congratulations on your find of a "lifer" species.  :)

Nice shot. I wish it had more canvas around the bird.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will definitely keep that in mind on the field. :)
