Yellow-eyed Junco - Arizona
D500, 500mm, ISO 640, f/9 1/320s
Wildlife moderator and charter member of NSN Cindy Marple and I journeyed towards Arizona's southern border in search of Elegant Trogon late last week.  While we did get a couple of steep angle Elegant Trogon shots (see my earlier post), the highlight was this highly cooperative Yellow-eyed Junco that literally posed for us for as long as we wanted and pretty much wherever we wanted - what a ham...

You must have been paying higher than scale for that model :) That yellow eye is certainly distinctive, super image E.J.

Obviously he had too much Tequila last night...good find. What altitude are these guys to be found?
