A really beautiful image Dan, the eye contact, the colouring of the perch and the holes in it, the sharpness of the bird and perch and the soft pastel colouring of the background ... all perfect.

Super detail and great stare. Looks like it is challenging you and your lens to interfere with his eating.

Excellent color and detail. Good job in keeping the saturation of the red plumage under control.

Great colours and detail, classic pose and head turn to check you out. Good to see the results of his efforts with sap holes and even looks like some on his 'bib' . Excellent shot, Dan!
