Another image from Laguna Seca Ranch in south Texas.
I spent about 90 min in early May trying to get flight shots with little success other than nearly getting heat stroke, it was 40C (104 F) in the sun.  I finally gave up and came back into the blind and this beauty perched right in front of us for close to 5 min.

Great setting, BG and I also like the calling pose. Great to have such a cooperative bird.

Congrats on the EP! Super detail and wonderful background. I really like the way the arch of the branch/perch is mirrored by the bird and its body/tail length. Just outstanding.

Thank you so much for the many kind comments and the EP. Although I didn't get the flight shots I was hoping for once these birds showed up I was more than pleased when this particular bird gave us a very exceptional perched opportunity. I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity and I was lucky enough to be using the 5DIV and the 500mm when the bird perched immediately in font of me ... that shot is full frame and had I been using my 1DIV I would had too much reach. Thanks again.
