I recognise this perch, it certainly has a good selection of birds using it for photos. I can tell LSR photos from the thumbnails, and this is another beauty, malcolm!

Thanks so much for all the kind comments. I've been to south Texas 5 times but always earlier in the year so this was the first time I had the opportunity to photograph this species. Just seeing these flying crayon birds was a treat and getting so many photo opportunities was a blast ... many thanks to Gene Gwin at Laguna Seca Ranch for all the help getting these images.
