Perch is cool, nice pose and HA.. If it was mine I
would remove the OOF branch behind the bird.

Not sure which I like better, this is certainly cleaner but the original is truer and the oof branch mirrors both the bird and the branch in the foreground.

Great setting and the raised crest adds to it. The removed OOF branch makes it less distracting, both versions work for me.

great image. The overall composition works better with the branch, because without it it feels like the bird is too far on the lhs.

The natural version works well for me, Malcolm. Images can become too sanitized sometimes.

Thanks for all the views and the comments ... after looking at both versions repeatedly I think I like the original version with the oof branch in the background more .. it adds a bit of depth to the image that the modified version lacks.
