This is a bizarre looking heron, in a very good way, Fabio. The background color sets it off perfectly. Brilliant.

This guy has me wondering whether those feathers would be as soft to the touch as they do looking at them! I'm also wondering if this is an adult bird? Never seen one before. Thanks for sharing! Sharon

Wonderful action pose captured with a pleasing uncluttered bg too, Fabio!

Thank you all for the comments, for Sharon, yes this is an adult bird, it is a medium-sized heron that is found in Europe in Africa and Asia, with a characteristic tuff on the back of the neck, the scientific name is  "Ardeola ralloides".
