I was lucky that this image fit right into the frame as many others had clipped wings as the bird was flying towards me.
Herring Gull is rare in our area.

Very satisfying image of this Herring Gull. Excellent detail, exposure on the white plumage and wing position. Nicely composed. I believe a good Seagull shot is actually quite difficult.
