Well composed with excellent feeding behavior and wing position. The detail is fine. I'm guessing because of the lack of blur this is a five? flash set up. It definitely does not look flashed which is an accomplishment in itself but I think it could use half a stop of brightness.

I would like a tad more light on the face, but the pose is great and very nice flower.

superb image, it strikes me the perfect composition, the uniform background and the perfect light, really fantastic that everything is perfectly on the same focal plane, with the movement of the wings perfectly frozen, for me it is a true masterpiece, my most sincere congratulations and my admiration.

Make sure you click on the image - the preview compression loses a lot of black detail.

That was a fun day, EJ! 3 flash plus the background :-) I really like this shot. Brightness looks good on my monitor. These guys really are jet black!
