There was a great downpour lasting for about an hour. We just got there when it started and the Owl was still out. We went home and got back a couple of hours later. Poor guy was pretty wet.

He looks like he's wondering why you don't get out of the rain! ;). Very cool pose in his hideaway the wet really brings out the colors. I like how the big tree emphasizes his littleness. A very fine capture.

He sure doesn't look too happy! Excellent detail and composition, the green moss adds some nice color to the browns and grays of this fine image.

Nice capture. Would this be the Owls nest hole, or was it just seeking shelter?

How nice to be able to find an Eastern screech owl so accessible. Clearly living in a wet environment based on the moss on the tree. Nice eye contact and love that wet plumage.

It must be very grateful to have that nice hidey hole to get out of the rain, Karl! A lovely shot with little grumpy framed so beautifully by the tree.
