Going through some past images, that appealed to me personally, but not shown yet and thought to share this one purely because of the enormous size of the talons.

Oft not looking from a photographic point of view, but when viewing this, have realised what an effective and powerful tool they have for the kill.     Nikon gears.  300 F2.8 at 2.8.  foul weather.  Scottish weather can be bright a few meters away and foul on your head...lol..  Love it!

Please feel free to view uncompressed.  My thanks for your time.

Yes, those talons are Huge! Really like the background in this one, and the rain droplets.

Remarkable talons, and a wonderful mood created with the rain drops throughout the image, Dave. A handsome eagle with beautifully lifted wings. Great work!

David, When I first looked at the image, the talons are what stood out the most. Weather does look awful, but you did a good job with details.

Outstanding in-flight shot. Excellent job on the wing position, plumage detail, those amazing talons, and background. Nice to see someone else having to shoot in the rain besides myself..

Ah! Beautiful Scotland, where you can get all four seasons in a day - and I still love it! I really like this, Dave, the eagle in flight is captured so well and the setting is perfect. I remember the first time I saw one of these amazing eagles in the wild in Scotland, what a wonderful day that was!

Carol.
