Every time I see Trumpeter Swans, I am reminded of how very close we came to losing for all time this majestic waterfowl.  In the 1800s, trumpeters were extirpated from all of eastern North America.  We owe a debt of gratitude to the many dedicated conservationists who brought this species back from the brink of extinction.  Hastings County, Ontario, Canada

Good capture of these two Robert. A timely reminder re your notes on how fragile some species can get due to man's interventions.

Excellent take off shot, Robert. Decent exposure of the whites and great action with all of the splashing water. Well done!

Very nice shot Robert! Interesting that Trumpeter Swans were almost wiped out in East Coast while in West Coast, at least were I live up north, we have thousands and thousands of them. I am glad the are coming back.
