Really nice beauty here. I wish I could get close enough shooting with 300mm with Wood Ducks.

Ludo, I live in Portland, if you are just north in Washington come on down...
I have the best pond in the country for Wood ducks I would think.
A lot of them year around and tame....

Hi Ludo, you are absolutely right, Wood Ducks are skittish birds and are often hard to approach without them flying away.  I have found using a camo blind works very well for me, and the ducks often approach within 5-10 meters if I am patient.  I use the blind sold by LensCoat and it is very lightweight and portable.  I hope this helps.  Cheers, Robert

a perfect in the air shot and all the details as-well, the crop is a little to tight on this image, if you have more room.
