Low Light Green Heron

They are actually blue in my area...
Very low light, they only fly around in my pond in the early or late hours so happy to get this in the light and conditions I have.
Taken at Daybreak.

D500, 420mm (300 f2.8 w/1.4), f4, 1/1600, iso4000

A very nice low-light capture, Dan. I like the detail in the shadows — good post processing.

This is an excellent image, not recognized as such by many because they know that such an image was impossible not too long ago. But technology now allows it. Low light images of birds with iridescent colors can be spectacular - this is a great example. These types of images will eventually be accepted. Keep going for them.
