Taken middle of last week, it marks the first GBH I've seen in the area since fall. It also shows the return of looming storm clouds juxtaposed against full sun, marking the return of spring thunderstorms and sweet natural lighting opportunities.

Drew, excellent job of capturing this GBH in its native habitat. I like the three layers to the image — the water, the grass, and the sky — all significant to the existence of the GBH. Although the bird is relatively small in the frame, it is the remainder of the image which actually tells the story: this is where and how the GBH lives.

I like when a small-in-frame image is done well...and this one is!

Lovely natural habitat and a fine mood created here- this is how we so often see a GBH. The colors are so pleasing, as is the story of spring. Much appreciated.

Lovely proportions, colours and light in this beautiful scene, Drew. Very nicely done.
