Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in deep South Texas February 22, 2019.

Nikon D7500, Nikon 300mm f/2.8, Nikon 1.4 TC, 1/500 sec at f/4.0, ISO 450.

Dark and mucky day with light rain.  I think the slower shutter speed was an interesting affect.

Nice pose and an Interesting effect with the blurred raindrops. Good DOF at F4.

Beautiful bird, the raised crest and rain add to it.

This worked well. Bird is sharp at 1/500 and the rain adds a lot to the photo.
One little branch left in the LRHC is the only extremely minor thing I would clean up.

Nice rain and buds on the perch, Gene. The raised crest is a plus.

Love the rainy scene- a striking shot with lovely colors...and spring buds! Very refreshing shot.
