Interesting Escher-like composition-nice detail in the enlargement. You can almost see the fear in their eyes. I'm not so fond of the top upper pair of legs...I'd clone them out if that is acceptable, though they do add something to the continuity of the overall composition. .

It works pretty well and the comp with the bird leaving the frame in the URHC draws the eye thru the frame nicely.
I do wish the bird on the right side had a better head angle.

Thanks, Cindy & Dan for taking the time to comment and your critique reflects some of my own thinking too when I first viewed this image! Much appreciated.

It was an intense moment captured in split second. There was no time to composed as in most action shots particularly with BIF. The fact that it was full frame tells how near I was with the subject.

Great moment captured — a full frame view of the panic of this flock of stilts. Super lighting and exposure.

Pretty amazing to be that close to them-with that much lens/crop factor. I would have gotten a total blur , I'm sure! I don't know how you manage to shoot manual in a BIF shot. Much appreciated!
