Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in deep South Texas March 7, 2019.

Nikon D7500, Nikon 300mm f/2.8, Nikon 1.4 TC, 1/1000 sec at f/8.0, ISO 560.

This is the first time after photographing Orange-crowned Warblers quite a bit that the orange crown is very visible.  I think it adds to their attractiveness.

A rare shot, to see that crown! Nice work. Looks like it is wet or molting...or both?

Cynthia, He/She had previously taken a bath.  More than likely why the crown is so visible.

A sweet view of this little beauty, straight from the bath by the look of it!
