Excellent action and behavior shot with multiple wood chips in the air, Dan. This would also look nice cropped as a vertical.

dandc, Cropping vertical would allow the bird to be larger in the frame, but a horizontal crop allow more of the environment to be included. Interesting dilemma. Detail in the image looks really good.

Thanks everyone for your comments and input. I looked at, and debated, a vertical crop - either would have worked - but concluded the horizontal set more of the mood I was after with this shot.
