Short-eared Owl

Shot few weeks ago. There was tall grass between me and owl so I didn't get clear shot, but the grass created very nice out of focus BG. Good amount of crop at 16x9 aspect ratio.
D2Hs, Nikon (MF) 500mm f/4 P IF ED + TC-16A
1/1600, ISO-400, f/6.3 on tripod.

Attractive image especially considering the challenges presented to you, particularly the grass and the fact you were manually focusing this with a teleconverter attached, that's skill.

I agree!  The softness of the view through the grasses paints a beautiful picture, Ludo.  This is gorgeous!
