Good job freezing the action. Having the bird not facing away would improve the image IMO.

Pranab, an excellent takeoff shot, with the wings up and splashing water behind. I agree with Alan that the image would be strengthened if the bird were flying in your direction rather than away from you. Still, a fine shot, and it is nice to see you posting in the Birds Gallery. :D

Although facing away, as noted, I like the light and show of the under wing, and lifted foot. Nice action too.

I agree it would be better if the bird wasn't facing away from us, but the action is beautifully captured, Pranab!
