Another image from my recent trip to Brazil. The Guianian Cock-of-the-rock is without a doubt a iconic amazonian bird. To reach their lek you must pass the slipperiest bridge I ever witnessed. A row of two uneven, wet planks over a strong river and without railings. I heard many stories of people that had lost their camera gear after falling in the water on their way back or to the birds. Luckily, I made it across and witnessed one of the most memorable birding experiences of my life!

Thank you very much for the comments on my latests posts!

What a gorgeous bird, Ivan. The color is striking, the pose is ideal, and the eye contact ices it. Very nicely done!

absolutely insane bird. What a stunning capture Ivan.
It looks like you could make the orange colour a bit more red/darker. A great way to do that is with a Selective Colour Layer using the yellow and/or red channel.
This would even allow you to desaturate the bird and bring the colour intensity back with those selective colour sliders, helping you to not blow out the bird.

Again, awesome capture

Amazing looking bird. Nothing like I ever seen. Nice story about the bridge crossing. Thanks Ivan for sharing this beauty.
