Hey,

Another image from the week we spent looking for these stunning little birds. When there's the possibility of many birds coming in, it can pay off to use slightly larger perches, so you have the chance to get multiple birds in the frame, which worked quite well here :D

You can see 5 young birds, 1 red-headed male, 1 red-headed female and one black-headed male.
Crazy to think these grey green babies will be as colorful as the others soon

A truly amazing image, Jan. The great thing about it is that all the birds are sharp and having eye contact with all of them. Superb composition as well.

Great timing in getting all eight of them to make eye contact with you and the camera.
