I was testing the lens plus extender. They look to be working well.

Yeah if you get that combo calibrated it works well, stopping down even 1/3 of a stop, as you did here, really improves sharpness of the combo.  There is a significant drop in resolution wide open with that combo.  In my testing the sweet spot for the 500PF + 1.4x III is f/10.

Looks really good! The head turn is waht makes the image for me. Very well exposed, great details and good-looking water.

PS. Did you have Canon before?

Thanks Ivan. I had Canon for 31 years.
My favorite combo vas the most recent Canon 500 Mark II and Canon 5D Mark IV.

Thank you, I'll try to use F10 most of the time and already did but not on this shot.
I also did the calibration more than once to make sure of getting similar results. (0: -1: -2)

Thanks Bruce. My best friend is friend with a shop owner in the area. Five month waiting time at Henry's and nothing.
About five weeks waiting at the other shop and the phone call came.

Awesome. Finally you got the 500mm PF lens, amazing lens..It is looking really good and sharp. How you like the weight and size ??? not bad ?? :-)
