Shot today. I took my girls to the park at waterfront and while they were playing I took some shots. I just bought about a week ago this awesome little bridge camera Panasonic Lumix FZ300. I used to have older FZ200 and I loved it also.
This thing is impressive, weather sealed,  25-600mm f/2.8 LEICA lens (35mm equal). Fully loaded with all the features like any DSLR and it does superb 4K and 1080P videos, RAW, Image Stabilization  and fully customizable.
Weighing only 1.5 lbs it is a dream to shoot with. It is not to replace my DSLR gear but when I want to go light and when traveling with family it is nice.
Tiny little 1/2.3 inch sensor, so image quality won't match larger sensors, but it is pretty darn good when light is decent.
I can see why 1 inch sensor (bigger)  bridge cameras like Sony RX10 IV or Panasonic Lumix FZ2000/2500 are so popular, even better image quality (larger sensor).
Now,  Micro 4/3 Panasonic and Olympus and Fujifilm APS-C is doing amazing jobs with their latest gear.
I am really considering new Olympus OM-D E-1MX in near future,
lighter and mobile system with no tripod ever needed.
I am fully aware of the trade offs comparing to FF, but for me it is well worth it. I will never sell D2Hs and D4 with the lenses :-)
I am NOT buying any DSLR. Next system for me will be mirroless.
Now,  I just need to sell a kidney so I can afford it :-)

Panasonic Lumix FZ300
1/500, ISO-100, f/2.8, handheld, IS-ON,, jpeg with no crop.

Nice image, enjoy your new toy, Ludo.
I have a Canon with 1" sensor, 24-600 mm zoom, use it sometimes for landscape when I'm into birds and it just hangs on my shoulder.
In retrospective I could have bought a pocketable one and I might just do that.

Good-looking image quality with the Lumix, Ludo. And the detail is excellent. Nice shot.

Excellent , Ludo. My first camera was a Panasonic FZ1, I think. Had a really long lens -it was great for kayaking. I still have some darn good shots from that little dynamo. Glad you are enjoying this one. This picture is proof of the pudding. Love it.
