Long-tailed Duck.

I was at the Pier a few days ago. Ninety five percent of the Long-tailed Ducks are gone. The Ship Canal was almost empty.
This guy was air-born a few weeks back, or almost.

This guy looks like a rocket coming out of the water. Super action with the splashing water, and great take-off pose with the wings extended upward. Beautiful work, Karl.
