Snowy Egret photographed in Santa Cruz, California. I'll always have fond memories of this particular photo as it's the very first image I took using my now favorite style of photography, which features side-lighting. Hand-held, no cropping.

The warm, low-angle light coming from the side is beautiful. Also, I like the fine detail in the feathers. Wish it were just a little more off center, but overall it’s a fine image, and I can understand your strong feelings for it. Very nice work, Tony.  :)

Your style is so pleasing and unique- really works of art. This one wonderfully dramatic and moody. I can see why you love it-I hope you have a wall full of prints of these hanging somewhere.

I can easily see how this first foray into your own distinctive photography style opened your eyes to the artistry of light, Tony.  8)

Tony, you are the master of the side-light shots. Superb job.

I really like your recent Snowy Egret images. For me, your bird has a kind of expression. In this one, I like the water reflection on its body. Very nice.
