Shot few days ago. Owl was resting between the flights.
Fair amount of crop using D4 in DX (1.5X crop mode).
Processed with sepia tones.

D4, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/1250, ISO-2800, f/5.6, VR-ON, handheld.

What a great back pose with cupped wings and a head turn exposing the eye. The composition is brilliant. Well done, Ludo.

I love the different pose, Ludo - and that one piercing eye looking back.  I don't feel the sepia adds anything to the image, but that's just my 2 cents worth.  :)
