KK, a super, close-in action capture. All of the splashing water and the extended wings really convey the feeling of motion. You did very well to respond and react to this "sudden landing." I have experienced similar "sudden landings" in my boat when birds are coming in to feed – they are very challenging because I often end up with too much lens. Very nice job here, plus the exposure appears right on the mark.

Exciting action. Everything says "splash"! I can almost imagine getting wet- well done!

The sudden landing of this cormorant gave you a great opportunity if you could react quickly enough, KK - and you certainly did! Fantastic action capture with the wings and water splashes, and a click shows the beautiful detail in the dark, wet plumage. Wonderful shot!
