The Hamilton area winter Duck count people wrote:

"Of the birds that have been seen on more than half of the counts since 1986, Ring-necked Duck, Northern Pintail and Wood Duck were missed this year."
"Redheads were down to 17, from 469 last year"
I did not remember right of this one and misquoted it in my previous posting.

I was lucky to have found one on the beach a few days later, but couldn't re-find it next day.
