Shot this afternoon. This shot was tricky. I was shooting with
D2Hs and MF 500mm f/4 + TC-16A (1.6X AF). I love this setup for the reach 500mm X 1.6X TC = 800mm x 1.5 crop body = 1200mm. Depth of field is razor thin and with a bird coming at you really fast I have to focus manually since lens is MF and TC-16A autofocus TC has only very limited range at this focal length. The focusing ring is silky smooth. I love these older MF lenses. D2Hs, Nikon 500mm f/4 P ED IF + TC-16A 1/1600, ISO-1000, f/9, on tripod. Please click on the image for uncompressed view, thank you. |
